Merrill Linn Trail - most secluded of Conservancy trails, 1 mile loop. To access trail from a paved road and a total hike of approximately 4 miles take I-80 west to exit 192. At the end of exit ramp turn right onto E. Valley Rd. Go 2.4 miles to Tea Spring Trail Head parking area on your left. Click here for map of area. On the map look in lower left corner just north of I-80 and just west of Tea Knob Trail for red circle P marking parking area. The dirt road that leads to Tea Knob Trail is about 25 yards north of the parking area. Walk east on the uneven dirt road until the junction of Mid State Trail. Turn left onto Tea Knob Trail, which is marked with orange and blue blazes, no name, as Mid State Trail and Tea Knob Trail are same trail at this point. A Merrill Linn trailhead is marked at the base of the second ridge climb. For closer access to the Merrill Linn Trail and further info about the trail follow directions from Linn Conservancy trail page.
