North Branch Bird Club
Based in Danville. Christmas Bird Count meets at Montour Preserve. POC: dougross@sunlink.net; 458-4568. No website. Email Doug for meetings held throughout the year.
Established in 1990 to foster the study and appreciation of the birds of PA and to promote the conservation of birds and their habitat. Activities include the 2nd PA Breeding Bird Atlas which is a survey of our state's nesting birds, statistics, info by county, and What's Hot which lists the most recent state rare or unusual bird records.
Lewisburg area affiliate of the National Audubon Society whose mission is to "conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity."
First Saturday Field Trips - Each month Seven Mountains Audubon provides a birding field trip to a local site. All trips depart 7:30 am in Lewisburg at CVS side parking lot on SR 192, just west of US 15, unless otherwise noted. Everyone is welcome. Trip leadership rotates informally, and the site is usually announced a few days in advance via Mark Larson's Bird Alert email list. To be added to list send your email address to: aschwein@bucknell.edu Please put Bird Alert in subject. You will also receive emails on recent bird sightings.
